FXOpen sponsored the StarCraft II team that won in the 1st Hong Kong e-Sports Tournament.
The Championship started on 31st August in Hong Kong and was attended by professional gamers from all over the world. They competed in such categories as StarCraft II, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, FIFA 2013, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition and League of Legends.
There were 8 pro-gamers – one from each region – participating in StarCraft II. FXOpen sponsored two professionals at a time – FXOHurricane and Na’VI.FXO.LoWeLy as a part of ESFXtv team.
Hurricane demonstrated his excellent playing skills and tactics by gaining a splendid victory in the final, winning by a score of 4:2. The final game was spectacular. Our FXOpen representative had to fight with the Korean Zerg called King Kong, specially invited for the tournament however, the main prize of US$10,000 went to the FXOpen team member.
FXOpen would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Hurricane – Hong Kong StarCraft II Champion and is proud of his achievements.
This is not the first victory for the FXOpen team in e-sports. Last year our gamers surpassed the strong MVP team by a score of 5:3. Please refer to FXOpen news for more details on these events.
